About us
At Larsen & Birkeholm, we meet entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized companies with the same enthusiasm and goodwill as the large rights portfolios. As experienced advisors with a background in the country's largest patent agencies, we know that advice can be organized in many ways - and at Larsen & Birkeholm we make a virtue of targeting our advice to the Danish growth layer.
Two generations

The history of Larsen & Birkeholm stretches back to 1973.
Here, two young patent and trademark attorneys - Hans Ole Larsen and Mogens Birkeholm - set up their own patent and trademark office. The aim was to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the growing export market of the time, where protection was becoming increasingly important.
Over the years, the two built up many loyal client relationships across many different industries, and Larsen & Birkeholm became a well-known name in Danish legal advice.
Generational change
There has been a lot of water in the river since its inception in 1973. The latest chapter began in 2015.
Here, a generational change began, with co-founder Hans Ole Larsen passing the torch to new leadership and ownership in the form of Mikkel Dalkiær (CEO) and Søren Valdgård Boye (Regional Manager).
Both came from senior advisory positions at two of the country's largest patent offices.
At Larsen & Birkeholm, they saw the opportunity to pursue and develop a daily life that put entrepreneurs and SMEs more at the centre.
Mission
At Larsen & Birkeholm, we are united in an approach to advice that meets entrepreneurs and small businesses with the same enthusiasm and goodwill as the large legal portfolios.
Every day, we help the global player one day - and the local entrepreneur the next.
And that's exactly what we like.
Many of our advisers grew up in the country's biggest patent offices - and know the world of rights inside out. We also know that in many cases, rights are critical to how a business performs over time. That's why we believe our knowledge is binding - and we make it available on an ongoing basis.
For example, in our monthly webinar on rights - or free drop-in advice in different locations around the country. It's a standing offer that you can always come to us for a fair and free assessment of your needs and options.
We believe in making it easy to get smarter.
